Windows To Go

I installed windows 8 pro a couple of weeks ago and everything seemed fine. I now find that when I boot up and try to go the store it says I am in "windows to go". I tried to refresh from the control panel and it would not refresh because I am running "windows to go".

How do I get out of "windows to go"?. I always boot from my HD and installed 8 pro from the CD

"Windows To Go" is when you run Windows 8 from a USB flash drive. Is this what you are doing instead of from your HDD?

No, I have never run from a flash drive. Always booted from my hard drive. The system just loads windows to go when I turn on the computer.

Odd. Is it an external HDD?

Where did you get you copy of Windows 8 from, and how did you install it? Maybe some issue with this could be responsible.

The HDD is a SATA that has been in my computer since I got it. I got the CD copy of windows pro from Amazon. Put the cd in and it looked like it was a normal install. It formatted my drive and put in 8. I just noticed the windows to go yesterday and did not pay too much attention to it. Now a few items can not run due to win to go. I am about to save some files, format and reinstall 8 again.
