Solved I can't lock my system

The only time my system locks is during start up. After that, I can't get the computer to lock either with the screen saver enabled and check "prompt for password" or the Win+L key. I've searched and search but no go. It shouldn't be this difficult just to lock a damn computer should it?

Ok. In that case, double check each option in the tutorial below to make sure you have it set to be enabled.

PROBLEM SOLVED! By default Windows 8 has "remove lock computer" in Ctrl+Alt+del as not configured I just have to change it to "disable and everything was fixed. All locking method works. GENIUS USERS AND BOHOO M$ for being dumb!

That's great news.

"Not configured" is the default setting, so there may have been a manually added registry entry for it. When you set it to "Disabled", which does the same as "Not configured" for this setting, it would have removed this registry entry.
