How to list files of hidden volumes, that have no letters?

Hello.

When I turned my laptop on for the first time, it installed Windows 8 automatically, which made me think there is a hidden volume somewhere on the hard drive. I listed all the volumes using DiskPart utility and it showed me some hidden ones, as expected. What I want to do now is to explore the hidden volumes' contents, and retrieve the drivers from there if possible. But the problem is, I don't know how to list the contents of those volumes. I could've used DIR command if they were accessible through the letters, but unfortunately they don't have any letters associated with them. Please help, by explaining how I can list the contents of the hidden volumes.

Right click Computer > Manage > Disk Management > right click the volume > Change drive letter and path > add a drive letter
Does that work? If it does, it should come up next to your other drives in Computer.

No, that doesn't. Probably, to change a drive letter, there should be a drive letter already assigned. When I right click on it, "Help" option is the only option available.

The OS was already partially installed at the factory. Its set to run the "First Time Use" on the first boot up and complete the installation. The hidden partition contains the recovery tools and recovery image. It is used to burn your set of recovery disks or refresh the image back if you do a recovery. Once the recovery is done you'll get that same First Time Use sequence again. Be careful what you do, especially if you haven't burned a set of recovery disks. Hidden partitions like the Windows 8 system Reserved partition will not have a drive letter. If you mess around in the system reserved partition you could end up with Windows 8 not being able to boot. All the recovery tools to fix that are in there too. Like I said be careful
