Phone Book Access

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but if not, could someone please advise

I've just upgraded to brand new HTC 8X Windows Phone 8 but I've had to continue using iPhone as my Audi Car Phone System does not see contacts in its Phone Book when connected via bluetooth with my new phone. Phone book access works fine with iPhone4

Help - I'd really like to use Windows Phone 8 but this is a showstopper for me

I think the new phones use Bluetooth 4, and that may be why your car isn't compatible. Not sure if there is a way to force the phone into an older Bluetooth mode or not.

Thanks, but I'm pretty sure it's not the bluetooth that's the problem, as I can talk happily via the car's built in hands-free system

As I say the problem is contacts from my phone are not uploaded to the car, even though Phone8 is meant to support PBAP (Phone Book Access Protocol)

This works fine with my iPhone, i.e. iPhone contacts are immediatley visible in the car's phone book
