Metro Tile Nesting?

Is there a way to nest or embed Metro tiles so they act like folders? For example, Microsoft Office deposits at least eight tiles on my Start Screen. I rarely use any but Word and Excel, so I would like simply a generic "MS Office" tile that, when clicked, gives me all of the Office tiles.

I know I can make a folder from a bunch of shortcuts and then pin that folder to the Start Screen, but I'm looking for something that stays within the realm of Metro Tiles.

This is probably not what you had in mind, but this is Windows 8.

Hmm... You're right, I was hoping to find a way in the Start Screen, one step before All Apps, BUT... Even my "All Apps" doesn't look like that. I don't have a tile for Microsoft Office, just tiles for the individual programs. Same with Windows Accessories and everything else; the whole thing is "expanded," not "compressed" (in File Explorer terms.)

You can make your apps area summarized by zooming. (bottom right corner where you see a minus sign or ctrl roll on the mouse wheel) The same as zooming the Start Screen tiles. - to make group blocks
Also, except for the initial boot to SS, access to apps is the same as the SS.
From the desktop > charms > magnifying glass (search) 1 click and esc key or SS > right click > press enter

IMO, the semantic zooming feature of the apps area is misunderstood. It is designed to eliminate the need to scroll through many pages of installation links. For example: let's say you have 100 installed programs and 7 or 8 screen pages of links. Using the zoom feature then clicking on the program group header centers the links of that group. No need to scroll to the right or left.

You can separate your tiles into groups. You can label those groups by zooming out, right clicking on a group and renaming.

You can also move the commonly used tiles to the front of the list.
