Solved See Lockscreen Notifications at startup

If you want to see email notifications on the lockscreen before you log in it's pretty easy.

Carry out the instructions to auto log in on startup

then have a batch file in the start-up folder to lock the pc

Rundll32.exe User32.dll,LockWorkStation

when the pc starts up it auto logs on with your live account, I get about 10 seconds of start screen before the batch file runs then it locks and I have email and whatever other notifications are active sat on the lock screen. You also have the benefit of any background apps starting up before you log in, speedfan, lcdsmartie things like that.

In addition, you will also need to make sure that you have first turned on live notification updates on the lock screen for the Windows Store app (ex: Mail) you want them from.
