Solved Buying Windows 8

Well I'll be honest from the start. I have never ever bought an OS. From XP to Win7, i have always got a cracked version (except for the one that came with my laptop - vista :confused: )

After using Windows 8 RP, i fell in love with it and for once, i decided to buy it. The question is if I install it on my laptop now, can i reuse the key later? Because there is a chance that i'll be changing the laptop later (will be getting my sisters VAIO :D).

You can get up to 5 at that price so get one for you and one for your sister. When you access the MS site for the Upgrade it will automatically give you the same version that is on the PC you access the site on. Either 32bit or 64bit.

Ah thanks. But my sis is aiming to buy one of those new Win 8 Sony ones (She's obsessed with VAIO's).

Also, this is also possible with the the retail one? (the one which comes with the box :p )

I have heard that the boxed Upgrade from the retailer has both 32bit and 64bit disks with one product key. The full version OEM come with only one disk, either 32bit or 64bit.

I got the boxed one. My sis bought it from Singapore. I thought it was going to be $100+ but she bought it for 80 Singapore Dollars O.O

Installed it just now and it works fine =D
