So when I was using Windows Vista I used Acronis True Image, when windows 7 came along I use macrium reflect, now I am using windows 8.
What are you guys using now? I don't know what to try or use this time. I have three hard drives one for my OS, one for media+installation of programs and lastly one for backups.

I want to make a system image in case something goes wrong save me the hassle of reinstalling and downloading again? So what are you guys using this time.

Any other tips regarding backups are highly appreciated.

Hi chis1neji.

I use a variety of products, as I have to support a small and varied client base.

For my own systems I am a long time happy user of Acronis True Image and will likely stick with that for Win 8.
Paragon Software Group put out free versions eg. Backup & Recovery 10.x that do the imaging and backup job well but I'm not sure where they are at regards Win 8 compatibility.
I have also been successfully using native Win 7 Backup on Win 7 systems and have just currently started running it under Win 8 Pro to see how that works out. So far it seems to work in the same way so looks promising.

What I am left considering is that I read Acronis are going to start focusing more on the small business/corporate market in future and as far as the windows 7 native backup goes, I read on this forum that many believe that MS may well be dropping it in future OS releases.

I Will also be keen to hear what others are using as their preferred imaging software.
