1. I started out with windows 7

2. I installed windows 8 consimer preview on primary partition.

3. I created a new partition with Easus and installed windows 7 on that.

4. I deleted the secondary partition with windows 7 on it leaving only windows 8 partition

5. I inserted windows 7 disk and followed prompts to install windows 7 (downgrade from 8) and eraslerasall date and files.

6. After copying files and doing whatever it does, the computer rebooted, the windows logo came up and went to a black screen with a moveable mouse.

7. If i boot with disk, it keepse going to windows setup and does the initial process if i click setup but always reboots to the black screen with mouse.*

Ive tried seemingly everything, unhooked any unnecessary speakers usb drives ect. Now im on this forum on my android.*I just want windows 8 gone. Please help. Thanks.

You should be OK, if you clean HD drive.

I'm sorry, I'm not clear on what you mean clean the HD. You mean physically clean it or format the data? If you mean format, can you explain how to do that?

Thanks for the help

Unfortunately, cleaning the drive did not work.

I cleaned the drive as instructed in the link, everything went great. I created a primary partition.

Went to install windows 7 and the computer automatically rebooted, Windows 7 logo came up then straight to the black screen with movable mouse.

Any other suggestions?
