Hi all

I will be upgrading my main system to windows 8 next week as I am very impressed at how it runs on a netbook. It is a million times better than windows 7. I had to hack the screen res to get metro apps to work but its great and very speedy :) It runs like it has 5x the computing power that a netbook has :)

Just installed on my Ferrari One netbook, running good- everything working so far without any magic by me.
BTW, filled out the email for the free media center key...... still hasn't shown up, hear I'm not alone in that regard.

I doubt it would be that fast. If you upped the RAM to 2GB and installed an SSD, maybe but I doubt it. Atoms are just too slow for basic tasks.

I'm planning on updating my wife's Aspire One (C-60, 8GB RAM, 80GB Intel 320 series SSD) to Windows 8 within the next few days. Hers has a resolution of 1366x768, so I shouldn't have any issues there. Windows 7 is pretty damn fast on it, so I expect Windows 8 to run exceptionally well.

Windows 8 is defiantly a lot fast than windows 7, yet there is still a lot of people saying that it is the next Vista. I don't think so :D

My resolution is the same, it was fine. Seems pretty fast for me also(64bit, 4gb memory)

Oh..... media center key just showed up in my email that I applied for yesterday.
