Where to download Windows 8 Upgrade?

Windows 8 is suppose to be released at 12.01am but when I click Buy Windows 8 now it just brings me to a splash screen.

Is this the link to buy and download the upgrade from or is there another link?

I'm using the same link except the UK version.
Apparently it was meant to go live at 12.01am on October 26th yet I'm still unable to buy it. Whats going on!

Today is October 25th.


Edit: Ha...nevermind, I just realized you said UK! Perhaps it's 12:01am USA time....maybe EST.

Download the Windows 8 upgrade assistant, and go all the way through to purchase, it works.

Downloaded; up and running with all the apps installed. No problems whatsoever.

I want to buy but I don't want the upgrade version! Why cant Microsoft just take my money and let me download a full version? Grrrrr!

Are there any retail stores selling Win8?

I see all the GB Windows store links go to the upgrade version, looks like a website/link error.
Maybe tomorrow they will get the links fixed.

I've been unable to find any stores selling W8, only 2 selling the "upgrade" option and none selling the Full or OEM version.
Only place I can get an OEM is on line

I cant even find an email address to contact Microsoft in the UK to enquire, only a phone number and I don't want to phone

I feel like giving up...why are things so difficult?

If you wait a few days they should be available.

Nothing wrong with getting it online, save the ISO file, then burn a DVD or USB stick. You'll still have the ISO in case you need to re-install.

I don't think there will be a "full" version. Just an OEM version and upgrades in store. This is ridiculous though. Microsoft should release one version from October till January for $20, then after January it will be $100. That one version should be a "full" version not upgrade or OEM.

I think it's ridiculous too. I've given up and gone and ordered an OEM version DVD which will arrive on Monday and I am hoping the personal user licence thing I've read about it true.
