My machine was supposed to have enough firepower to run W8 and theoricaly meets the requirement, yet it refused to install or run because of more complicated reasons, not mentioned in the requirements (some BIOS and processor option, in my case). In one word W8 refuses to work on some old computers it deems too old for him. Please test the Release preview before purchasing.
No, don't test the Release Preview. Test the 180 day free trial, which is the released version, not the preview version.
Are you referring to NX bit support? Some bioses do not support enabling it. What computer do you have anyways?
Ok now I have installed 8 and Lazure was right. The VGA Adapter is my biggest problem right now. My resolution is stuck at 1280 x 1024. I want to amp it up to 1336 x 768 or at least 1280 x 768 but my VGA Driver won't install. It seems that users with the same XDDM drivers are having the same problem. Oh well, let's hope either Intel or Microsoft fix this.
