Spent a lot of time last night trying to research this with no luck, so any help provided will be greatly appreciated.
Sunday night: Installed Windows 8 Pro as second OS on my laptop. After installation, set Windows 7 as my default OS.
Monday: Work as expected (both OS's)
Tuesday: After leaving Win 8 open for a while, I went to "wake-up" the system. It responded extremely slow. After I power cycled the computer, neither OS will boot. When I attempt to boot Win 7, the system gets stuck at start-up screen. When I attempt to start Windows 7 Recovery Options the system gets stuck while loading drivers.
When I attempt to boot in Win 8, the system get stuck at the loading page then crashes and restarts. Recovery results are similar to Win 7 attempts; I have the install disc I loaded the OS from and when I attempt to repair the computer, get a blank black screen.
Repair attempts: I can get to the command prompt when attempting to repair Win 8 from disc. From there I ran chkdsc on all drives and all scanned good with the exception of my F: drive (Win 8). This stated that the device was not ready.
Any clues?
Thanks,
Steve
