I was thinking around late 2012 or early 2013!!

I think 2011 is to fast, let some people catch up to Windows 7 first, I am still seeing alot of XP out there!

My thoughts exactly Ryan, I only started using Windows 7 on launch day, can't count the beta I had a go at as I didn't keep it long enough to really know what it was all about. Still got an XP machine here that's in daily use and will be until such time as we can afford a new machine and that will be a few years yet as I've only had this one for just under 2 years.

Hate people who find that teasing us is fun.

This was a former employee. . .not another one of those again.

I never rush to conclusions here! Even with 7 I waited to get more MS information through their own blogs rather then hearsay when someone simply wants to fill a web page.

You most likely would see initial reports on what the early Alpha and other stages look like with supposed leaked info of 8's wallpapers or whatever similar to what was seen for 7. With 7 however the information about MS wanting to get back onto their old 2-3yr. time table would suggest possible beta testing in early to mid 2012 not 2011.

This is wayyyyy sooner then i expected. But i doubt this is the true dates (maybe this is the beta release dates) because after the success of windows 7, Microsoft will try to milk all the money out of that product. I think windows 8 will reach RTM in 2013 or 2014.

Definitely too soon, there is no major problems with Windows 7 that they want Businesses to use so why would they release a new one so soon?
