    Win 8 install


    Hi,

    I have a Dell Inspiron 700m. Will I be able to install Windows 8. In other words, is there a minimum hardware requirements. Thanks.

    512MB RAM

    12.1” WXGA Widesceen

    Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 (802.11 b/g) Internal Wireless

    40GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive, 4200 RPM

    32 WHr 4-cell Lithium-Ion Battery

    24x Combo DVD/CD-RW Optical Drive
    The overall spec won't give much support. Stick with Windows XP probably wiser.

    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and Windows 8 x64 Preview
    Norway no vest agder


    With that old specs I would have stayed with XP (Or buy a new computer)

    Wow that's old. I had the 600M. I wouldn't expect 8 to work well on that. Would probably be a bit slow; and it didn't have dedicated graphics either. So no fancy stuff.

    It will run in 1 gig (32bit) but your video probably wont support aero. No doubt it will be slow.
