I'm sorry because I saw once discussion of Win 8 shutdowd but I can't find it any more. I noticed that in my account I can logoff and then shutdown. Can it be done easier?

Are you looking for this Tutorial? Lock, Log off, Restart, Shut Down, Switch User - Windows 8
That's just the information I needed.
I think for the end user's point of view the Win 8 shutdown is too complicated. It doesn't help that there are many possibilities. In any window there should be one button with options shutdown, restart etc.
I think that Win 7 has the best way for ever to shutdown.
Best regards

I'm glad to be of help, Thanks for the feedback.
Seems simple enough for myself, click on my picture in the metro interface, choose logoff, and then shutdown or restart after I am logged off.
