Would you get windows 8 if it looked like the XBOX dash board?

I just updated my XBOX dash board and idmediantly noticed that it looks a lot like metro. I instantly knew where it came from. Microsoft is now starting to unify their systems.

Some people may complain that the new dashboard is hard to navigate in, yes, maybe with a controller, but then I thought, how come Windows 8 can't be like that? I mean with a mouse it would be easy to navigate right?

Personally I think that the XBOX dashboard looks pretty slick and professional. The 3D, and shadows really give it a nice effect and still keeps the metro feel

If it looked more like this:

Would you get it? I know I would. So if you think you would or would not get this on first sight, please do tell why you love or hate this idea.

I like it! At least, it looks really good when it comes to Xbox.

But if you ask me, I'd really like to be able to keep my beloved current desktop environment on PC.
It is just a matter of habit probably, as habit is the reason I still prefer Gnome 2 over Unity for example. I think I just have to get used to it, like it happened during the switch from 3.1 to '95.

It probably will look like this from what I've heard the current version Microsoft has looks like this except with customized groups obviously.

Yep, Microsoft even said themselves yesterday at CES and their bring Metro design to Windows as well as Xbox and obviously Windows Phone. I see right now as the PC being the unifying force between the three devices with the different three devices working off of their strenghts.

Wow, look at that, they are! Let's just hope it's more friendly with a mouse.

Am using win 8 dev as I write this. It's awesome! Needs some smoothing over but other than that, it's quite easy to navigate and boots in 10 seconds flat! (asus g50vt)

That would be better, but for a pre-beta it's very polished as it is

I think a lot of us "suffer this human flaw" to some degree...called "resistance to change."
