i've deleted files from the folders
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System
by mistake & i've highly tweaked & customized
my os & don't want to redownload the entire
setup & risk to lose any customization
It would be very nice if someone could upload his
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System
folder & subfolders to mediafire or another
file sharing site & share the link

Wont work I am afraid. First are you 32 bit or 64?
Second they have to be registered and the date, file size, and name , plus path have to be the same.
You dont have to do a new install, ou can do a repair install.
I will bet the missing files are already backed up in winsxs
i got rid of the winxs folder to gain space, & repair install doesn't respect all tweaks, registering is logical & something i know i have to do. if anyone can upload that, thanks

Win7 64-bit and Win8 32-bit in VM (+ others in VM)
A full repair install is all that you can do - the only other option is a reformat.
You will then need to repeat your strangling^h^h^h^h^h^h^h optimisation of the OS - I suggest you take copious backups along the way, this time.
System Manufacturer/Model Number Asus K52F OS Win7 64-bit and Win8 32-bit in VM (+ others in VM) CPU i3 Memory 8GB Graphics Card it's an i3 :) Sound Card Conexant (rubbish - or it may be the speakers) Screen Resolution 1366x768
effectively, it's all i can do as an invasive workaround, if nobody having win8 x86 is willing to help me by zipping those files which doesn't take a lot of time, or if nobody owns the x86 version, then i'm done.
