will microsoft release any other language packs for windows 8 than english right now? there's the install display languages option, but nowhere how to download them.

Not yet but I'll keep an eye out for it.

You might have to wait for the Beta, or later, and keep an eye on the initial link I presented.

for some languages a Language Interface pack is needed such as Icelandic which installs into the base English version of Windows 7 (Ultimate or Enterprise).


Icelandic, Welsh Windows 7 Language Interface Packs now available | The Windows Club

I'm sure the same thing will be available with W8 RTM releases (after Beta) -- possibly even the RC versions (Release Candidates).

Actually, Jimbo, many Win DP LPs are available now.

M$ aren't the only ones providing LPs.
