Num lock is always on at boot

Whenever I boot, my Num lock is set on and I have to manually reset it. Does anybody know how to automate that.

Interesting. I just changed the logon to always automatically log on (as per Shawn's tutorial), and the Num lock is no more on.

    Hello Wolfgang,

That's interesting. You might give this a play to see if it may help any without auto log on enabled.

Thanks Shawn. I will experiment with that when I reset the automatic logon.

Another suggestion to try (originally from Vista):

NUM LOCK – CHANGE DEFAULT TO ‘OFF’ – via BIOS SCREEN
While powering up computer, QUICKLY, at START of Windows ICON screen, KEEP TAPPING the DELETE Key
With Right Arrow, go to ADVANCED
With arrow go to BOOT CONFIGURE
With arrow go to NUM LOCK
    Hit Off
Hit F10 key to Save and Exit
