I don't know of any way to report bugs for the Windows 8 developer preview so I'm posting here in hopes that someone at Microsoft will see this and work on a fix.
First, my systems:
Dell Studio XPS 1340
2.4GHz P8600 Core 2 Duo
4GB 1066Mhz DDR3 RAM
320GB Seagate Momentus HDD 7200rpm
Nvidia Geforce 9400M G
Custom Built desktop
Intel QX9770 3.2GHz Core 2 Extreme
Intel DX48BT2 Motherboard
Samsung Spinpoint HD103UJ 1TB HDD
8GB OCZ 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Gold Series RAM
Rosewill Bronze Series 1000W PSU
GTX 295 GPU
Liquid Cooled System
Most of the problems occur in the laptop so I'll start there.
Laptop:
-Will freeze regularly without warning. No crash dumps and upon restart, no indication that anything has gone wrong.
-Unable to exit hibernation: Will get to the screen where it says Windows Developer Preview but the animation will not start. The HDD light doesn't blink at all, indicating that it is stuck and is not going to become unstuck anytime soon. I have tried with both Hybrid boot and without.
-Provides a boot menu asking me to select which OS I want to boot when there is only one option.Desktop:Unable to connect to network printer on home network. It can see it and I can select it in Microsoft Word's print menu, but when I try to print, it will say that no printer is installed. Did not have these problems on Windows 7.
Both:
Not really a bug, but I'm going to throw my hat in the ring of people saying that there needs to be a way to get rid of the tablet features in Windows 8 (Metro start screen, new control pannel), without getting rid of the good things such as the Explorer ribbon and the new task manager. I have tried tools that claim to do this but they don't keep the task manager. The old start menu was best for track pad and mouse driven computers because it involved less mouse movement.
I was going to post this using my laptop, but it froze before I could get past the hardware specifications. I instead did it on my android tablet.
I will be happy to provide any information that is needed to fix these problems.

I'm having the same hanging issue on my 1340 with Win8 CP, except it's while doing sustained file action, e.g., tired coping a 2gb iso over and it hangs around 25%. Same for installing from iso's, get part way through and it hangs. Mind you, got CIV 5 working, so not all bad!
