while playing a metro app, my screen turned black.
Now, even after reboot, i cant see a thing. Display works until the win8 boot screen disappers.

any ideas ?

already have same problem, and traditionally reinstall win 8 , that's it :|

My notebook got two graphiccards (ati, intel). Out of the box only the Intel chipset is working. Windows autoupdate is updating the ati driver, which causes the error.

Preventing windows from downloading the update and disabling the ati-chip in your device manager will fix the problem.
