Solved fifa 12 crashes on windows 8?

Been trying to run fifa12 in windows 8 for a while without success. Initially it asked for .net3,3.5 framework and i installed it. Still its not working. It enters the gamescreen and crashes out in few seconds. The setup menu gives direct3d .net framework exception. have also updated the dirctx runtime.


Did any of you people tried running it?

This looks strange to me... It should install it automatically when you download the game from Origin (one of the 4 "license terms" documents is indeed about .net framework 3.5).

Try opening Origin, right-clicking on the FIFA12 image and then selecting "repair install".
FIFA12 kept crashing upon me right after installing the FIPP 12 patch (which is a user-made patch adding Italian Lega Pro and some lower division teams), and repairing solved the problem for me a couple of times (even if I'm still using W7, but I expect it not to be different in W8).

Repairing is definitely worth a try, before re-installing it from scratch.

i havent installed it actually trying to run my copy of fifa12 installed in win 7 will try adding the registry , lets see if it helps. i need the game in both os.
