I'm installing an older game called Silent Hunter III, which I'm told by the extensive support community for it that it will install and run fine on Windows 8.1. However to get the game to run with customizations as they say it should, it needs to be installed in a directly other than the default directory, which is C:\Program Files (x86)\Silent Hunter III. So I create a new directory. It doesn't matter what the directory is called, I've tried several. Let's say C:\games\silent3. During the (InstallShield) installation, I browse to that directory and select it. The installation continues as if everything is fine, but the install ignores my input and installs in the default directory it originally presented, every time. I have a single C: partition on an SSD drive. Thanks.
