Will these games play on Win 8.1

Hey guys....I'm new to the forum as I just ordered a gaming pc with Win 8.1. Now I'm getting a little nervous as to whether some of my favorite games will play on this operating system. These include;

Sim City 4
Sim City 5
Flight Simulator 4
Flight Simulator X
Trainz
Rollercoaster Tycoon
Sim Golf
The Sims 3
18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker 2
Colin McRae Rally 2005
Ship Simulator
Tiger Woods 2014 and previous


These are some of the games I'm interested in knowing if they play o Win 8.1. I'm hoping for the best but am wondering if I did the right thing on getting Win 8.1. Thanks everyone!

Thanks! Actually, I just cancelled my order for my gaming pc with Win 8.1 until I know for sure if the majority of my games will work. 8.1 sounds like a nightmare for older games.

They Will work, if they don't change the compatibility settings to Windows 7
