Override Game OS Compatibility Error

I am currently trying to make Madden NFL 08 run on Windows 8. The game gives an incompatibility error regardless of compatibility troubleshooting by windows. The mainapp.exe does not have a compatibility tab in properties.

Any ideas how to override the OS check?

I dunno - I'm currently muxing a .m2ts file which is taking a while (can't really do much else with my machine at the moment), but I have Madden 08 installed on my Win 7 drive. I'll try to fire it up from here in 8 that I'm in now and see if there's anything I can figure out. I shall return....

I didn't do anything special. I just ran mainapp.exe and it started all well and fine. It's not even installed for me here in 8. Like I said, I ran it from my Win7 install.

I have all the compatibility and also Diagnostic type of services disabled. All they do is get in the way, like they are doing to you.

Interesting. If I copy the Madden program folder and my docs folder from an old installation without installing the game on Win8, it works.

Also, it was not Windows compatibility stuff that was stopping the game. It was a message from the game telling me it was not compatible.
