Any one have a solution/ Idea?

I too am getting kicked by punk-buster after upgrading to Windows 8 Consumer Preview =[ Could it be too driver issues of punk-buster not recognizing the latest ATI driver? I am running an A6 APU.

Windows 7 Beta was the same way for a long time, I believe even for a few months after it went to RC.

PB generally won't support a beta OS and most (if not all) servers have a setting enabled that will kick you if you're using a beta OS. I was hoping that Windows 8 wouldn't have the same problem and I found someone who said BF3 worked on Win 8 Dev Preview but had driver issues or something.

Unfortunately it sounds like Win 8 is going to have the same issues with PB. This is yet another reason why PB is complete garbage. :(

Huh, that's weird. I put the new pbsec.htm in the Origin Games\Battlefield 3\pb, and ran pbsvc.exe in the Origin Games\Battlefield 3\ folder and no more problems after that. Have you tried those steps? I didn't use the pb program to add bf3.

It worked!, I was worrying that I had to downgrade to Windows 7 to be able to play this game lol.

Thanks mate. Uber mega +rep for you.

Thanks again.

I played some BF3 last night with very mixed results.

To my surprise the game worked fine and played about the same as Win 7 when on the ground (seemed a little worse performance). However when I was in aircraft it was like a slideshow which is very weird since performance on Win 7 was always much better in the air.

I too get worse performance in certain spots than I do on W7. Just leads me to believe it's the beta drivers for AMD in my case, since Skyrim actually runs better on W8 than W7 and it's more CPU/memory dependent.

I'm was actually using 12.1 drivers since the Win 8 Beta drivers wouldn't install CCC. The AMD driver situation for Win 8 doesn't seem very good atm :(

Here yah go guys here is the fix for Windows 8 Preview for your BattleField 3 game. Go to Origin folder then to Battlefield 3 folder then click on the pbsvc file and let it do its thing. That should cure the problem not being able to get into game enjoy.
