strange thing happend

i installed need for speed and when i run the game the pc icons turns to blue after the game stopped responding and a message pop up about direct x because the direct x9 was automatically installed with the game package Screenshot (4).png

Wait, you're saying that icons changed because of the game? It wouldn't do that at all -unless- you got the game from an unofficial source. If so, you really have to be careful about things like that, especially because there is malware going around that encrypts your files and the only way known to get them back is to pay a large amount of money as ransom. It's called Cryptolocker, and has many variants.

Why don't you try running this command from an elevated command prompt, to see if the icons return to standard Windows ones:

sfc /scannow

Also, a good scan with Malwarebytes is probably in order to check the machine for any undesirable files or entries.

But in your screenshot, I don't see anything wrong there - but - I don't have a Windows 8 install here to compare to.

Is it doesn't appear in the screen shot because it turned back to normal right before I to the pic
