Having troubles getting crisis 2 to run. It's launching in windowed mode at a very low resolution and wont let me change it.. The resolution tab is blank.

Nevermind. Dx9 works. Dx11/highres texture does not.

I was able to get two Steam games running under Consumer Review (Dirt 3, Railworks 2012) but now under Release Preview Steam crashes. I installed the latest version of Steam and then downloaded and installed Dirt 3 and Railworks 2012 through Steam. I can open Steam and it works fine, but when I try and play either game I get an unknown error from Steam/bin/SteamService.exe and the games wont open. I did a repair install of Steam but still have the same problem. I will try a remove and re-install tomorrow and see what happens.

    UPDATE:
I went to the Steam Support and found this procedure.

Certain Steam issues may be corrected by removing and refreshing your Steam files.
    Windows XP/Vista/7

Completely exit Steam and go to the folder called C:\Program Files\Steam\ (this is the default location for a Steam installation - if you set a different installation directory, you will need to browse to it).
Delete all of the files in this folder except:
The Steamapps folder and Steam.exe (If 'exe' is not visible, look for the black and white Steam icon)
    Restart your computer.
Then, you will need to launch Steam.exe from within the Steam installation folder, and not from a pre-existing shortcut.
With Steam running, re-test the original issue.
I ran Steam.exe as Administrator just to be sure and it worked like a champ and it only took about 5 min for Steam to reload Railworks and it now works great. I am waiting on Dirt 3 to finish but its taking a while longer.

Got an error installing Dirt 3. Microsoft Games For Windows complained it was not for this version of Windows. I downloaded it from the Live site and installed as Administrator and it installed and Dirt 3 now works.
Now Railworks won't open complaining that Railworks.exe had a problem. Ran Railworks.exe as Admin and it opened fine. I then created a shortcut to Railworks.exe and it now works fine. At least they work for now. I hope they fix these problems when Windows 8 is released so I won't have to do all this jumping around to get them to run.
