hey, new member.. I bought a new Dell and installed a GeForce GTX660 in it and everything was going great, until I tried to install an older freeshard I have been playing on for many years.. the apps for the game require it be placed in C:\Program Files\ gamename However, when I try to do that it tells me that C:\Program Files\ is not accessible..
To be honest.. I am struggling with win 8 Like I have never struggled with any computer program... I HATE it with a pure passion.. Did I mention I hate win 8? I've NEVER had a problem figuring out windows, but 8 has a habit of sending me RIGHT through the roof.. I cant even SHARE folders with my laptop and other desktop.. anyhow... Right now just trying to get the old game in and playing.. it installed fine in my user directory, and runs, but I cant use any of the apps.. I tried redirecting the apps, but that didn't work.. so I am back to figuring out how to install this in program files where its supposed to be... Thanks for any assistance, I am at the end of my rope with this new fangled garbage. I guess I am getting too old..
