installed and works ok, for other readers read carefully and always opt for custom to take the ticks out of extra bloatware uring install..

try to hut down three more old favourite games
1. DX Ball or similar [one on above link warns not for w8] the ones i used on w7 will not work on w8

2. microsoft tetris from ms "best of entertainment" just not seen one thats anywhere near as good. as with dxball will not install

3. the "moorhuhn" series loved versions 1, 2, winter, 3, wanted, X, But cannot find any that will play in w8 they stutter and stall and fail to display all played ok on w7

try out some of the new pinball stuff.

pinball fx2 is fantastic. the pinball arcade has been submitted to the windows marketplace. hope it's up soon as that's my favorite series.

It's on Softonic: Microsoft Pinball For Windows Vista & 7 - Download

Although it's listed for Vista and 7, I have installed it and it works fine on 8.

How do you find out where it gets downloaded so I can install it.

Your link just brings up an install Softonic downloader and a whole pile of adware - for example THIS (screenshot enc) when I execute the program.

What's this "Speed analysis" thing -- and it seems you can't uncheck the boxes.

Now I can see how people's computers can become riddled with ad/crap/spy-ware or even worse.

I REALLY HATE these "Downloaders" --Why can't they just let you download the .EXE or .MSI file.

Fortunately I had this on a VM and have deleted the downloader.

Cheers

on your screen shot you are on the right track, click "custom" then untick extra blotware download then next, the same happens on the next screen it then installs with a shortcut on your desktop.
