Halo 2 Super Speed?

I installed Halo 2, and when I run it, the movement in the game is super speed for only my character. Even the main menu background that usually flows through images seems to be running at about 500 fps. Anyone run into this or have some advice?

Never needed one / tested one, especially not under Windows-8, sorry.

Edit:

I checked Halo-2 for you and I don't have any speed-problems on my machine. Check PM.
