Touchscreen on JooJoo Tablet is upside down!

Hello everyone !

i've been looking all over for a solution, but i can't seem to find anything..

There used to be a JooJoo forum, with quite a lot of information on how to get everything to work, but they suffered a major database problem, causing them to lose all of their threads..
So yeah, i'm basically on my own to try & figure this out..

I got all the devices properly installed & touch worked out of the box, no optional drivers needed.. however, the touch screen is upside down..
here's what i tried so far:

win8 calibration : the normal way
win8 calibration : upside down (i thought it could've helped since it reads everything upside down)

eGalax touch driver: this made the touchscreen be recognized as a mouse, which works great, but the touch features aren't supported..

changing the screen orientation has no effect, as the touch input rotates with the screen.. i tried this through "display resolution" & the nvidia control panel, but they had no effect at all..

can anyone help me with this problem ?

thanks in advance !

Sorry to revive an old thread, specially one that no one even commented back on, but I was wondering if you or anyone on here happened to find a fix for this?

I was recently given a JooJoo and installed a 128gb ssd with 4gb memory and Windows 8 Pro. Would really like to get this working. I have tried the eGalax drivers but all they do is make the touch screen act as a mouse which makes the touch gestures impossible.

Thanks!

multi touch in windows 8

hope i can help guys,i was an active member on the joojoo forum and i managed to back up all the relevant drivers utilities and best of all i remember how to use them.for the full multitouch to work in windows 8 or any windows os the firmware has to be flashed with a simple file from joojoo os to windows os,i have these files.dont install any egalax stuff and callibrate the touchscreen via the tablet pc settings in the control panel.once rebooted right click on the desktop and flip the screen to landscape flipped.
check out ebay item 171026144736 to see how it looks,i have done three of these now,i feel 2gb of ddr3 ram works best with a32gb ssd as for some reason thats the fastest combo.if you need any help or utilities i can email them to you as they are small files.

Hi tam23 I'm in the same boat with a joojoo tablet running windows 8. I can't find all the required drivers to get the screen and multitouch all working correctly. Your help would be most appreciated.

hi again, for touchscreen to work in windows 8 you do not need any drivers, its a simple firmware flash and then reboot.then you calibrate through the tablet settings in the control panel.flip your screen after this and you are good to go.
can i upload the firmware flash and instructions onto this site?

I got touch working and screen flipped but after calibration the touch isn't accurate. It's off by quite a bit. If you're able to upload what's required to get it all working that would be great.

extract all in a folder you can access easy on the joojoo.
open up the hid_fwupdate _UniDisplay.exe
click on load image
click on the tc-v1062d-win.egxp file
this is the windows flash
the other one the tc_v1062c.egxp is to revert the joojoo back to joojoo touchscreen
click go
this will delete the old firmware and flash the new.will take a few seconds to a minute
once done and it tells you so,reboot and then do the windows calibrate in the control panel, use a usb keyboard to tell windows its a touchscreen.
very important-please uninstall every touchscreen driver and software you have installed, its not needed as windows 8 does everything.
it will conflict i can assuree you.
any help needed just ask.

hi again,to get this to work as need be you will need a powered usb hub/usb mouse and keyboard.as the screen is not very reactive to touch until you have followed the steps set out

no probs, its pretty simple to do,it was actually a joojoo forum member that made this utility, think his name was hisham.he managed to get multitouch working in windows 7 with a registry hack and this firmware.you may have to do it again when you update the nvidia graphics on windows update.just a word of warning.look for a small program called desktop lighter, this enables you to turn screen brightness up and down via its slider, very handy.have not got a work round for the light sensor yet,if any one has i am all ears.

Is there anyway to send it to mi mail: madjoge@hotmail.com. I'm really appreciated that (unfortunately the link at the post is no more work)
