I wasn't sure If I should post it here or the gaming section so I do apologise on that. Basically I believe there is a game controller issue with Windows 8 RTM and Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
For example:
If you was starting up a flight or flying and at random times the controller or joystick in my case will stop working inside the game. If you then went to Options > Settings > Controls within the games top menu bar. Then the actual controller would no longer be listed. Although if you went outside the game and into control panel and where it would list the game controllers and you started calibrating then it would still respond in that window. So it only happens within the game and it does it at random times.
It doesn't seem to be the USB power settings because they have been changed and it doesn't matter what USB port the Saitek X52 is plugged into. I actually first thought it was something related to the specific joystick I use but I have a friend of mine who also has FSX running on Windows 8 RTM with a different joystick (Non-Saitek) and has also experienced the issue.
So it does seem to be related with Windows 8 and the FSX game. Has anyone heard about any controller issues like this which are similar? I know Windows 8 isn't fully out yet but I thought would post. Would be nice if a solution did come up over the next few months to some what fix it
