Here's my "no frills, just the basics" system.

Here's my "no frills, just the basics" system... I'm not a gamer, so the GT 430 video is more than adequate. The old Intel Q6600 CPU and Intel DG43GT motherboard are still giving me the performance I need for basic usage. The case has minimal cable mgmt., so I did the best I could. The system is cool, quiet and reliable so it's everything I need.

My PC is sitting on a wire rack shelf, so the fan at the bottom is pulling in cool air without all of the dust/pet hair/lint that you typically pull in from the floor. This arrangement provides a cool, semi-clean environment and the PC is sitting on the shelf directly behind the monitor on my desk, so I can easily reach everything.

Most of the computer problems I see are heat/dust/dirt-related and the fan bearings get destroyed and the systems heats up and components start to fail. My systems don't have this issue because I use good fans, keep them clean and perform regular maintenance/cleaning...

Thanks! I did what I could with the feeble cable mgmt. capabilities of the case. This is really a substandard case, but I gave my son the better case when I built his system and I kept the craptastic case. I'll change it in a few months... It does keep everything cool, though.

The pic's are already a few month old and shot via mobile as I couldn't find the data-cable for the cam. Added already another burner and my wife took the Kone[+], which I replaced with a R.A.T.-7-Infection.

The case is a Thermaltake Level-10 GT LCS.

It has plenty of space and you can route the cables quite clean, but I should have bought a PSU with cable-management thought.
