I have a Lenovo G710 with a DVD drive that has always worked well. However, recently wanted this to read and play DVDs, but not burn. I have then looked in Device Manager and saw standing the Matshita DVD-RAM UJ8E1. Because I often had solved a hardware problem, remove the device and restart the laptop again, I have now done. After that I did a hardware scan with the idea that it would take the existing DVD drive again and would install a driver. This unfortunately did not happen. The DVD drive can still read DVDs (he is also seen in Explorer), but there is no device where I can write to. In Device Manager, the Matshita DVD-RAM UJ8E1 no longer listed.
I have Microsoft FixIt tried to solve the problem, but it will not hardware problems.
How do I get my Matshita DVD-RAM UJ8E1 again in my devicelist and how can I then burn DVDs?
