I'm running on an Acer Aspire e5 511, with windows 8.1. Although this problem has been persistent throughout 3-6 months, I never bothered fixing it because I don't typically use USBs/SD cards.
Whenever I go put an SD card in/USB stick in, it tells me to format it.
I do so, then after a couple seconds it stops, and tells me that it cannot be formatted, which leads to everything on the said USB/SD being erased. I've tried troubleshooting it, but it still doesn't work.
I need this problem fixed so I will hopefully be able to fix my other issue, which is that I cannot restore/refresh my laptop because it "cannot find the recovery environment."
