Swipe and click reverts to click and double click

I have a Cello tablet running Windows 8.1 . Initially it runs well with swipe and click working perfectly but then suddenly reverts to click and double click. Very annoying if typing etc. The only way, up til now, of curing this is to totally reboot the whole system and then having to download various apps again.
HELP, any way of curing this for good.
