How can I make sure that I have the latest Intel Chipset drivers installed and then I see that that does not include the USB drivers..

So I'm confused at what this is :

So I have this laptop..

windows 8.1 64bit..

Laptops and netbooks :: IdeaPad Y Series laptops :: IdeaPad Y410p Notebook - Lenovo Support (US)

Do I need to be searching for the latest updated USB and intel chipset drivers from Intel website or whoever makes the USB drivers?

thanks.

If Windows is set to also update drivers and does not. Do not worry. Most of the stuff that gets updated. Is usually the handling of data better. Sometimes power management may be tweaked.

Hey broe23

I ended up installing only the "INF" update top one I showed in the picture..

I looked at my registry and saw I definitely had an older version..

After installing I checked again and the number was updated.. So I guess I'm good to go..

What I'm confused on is wether I install the driver in the bottom of the picture??

The USB one..

I would look at the revision info Intel has on it. They should include it, which a lot of manufacturers do not, unless you download and then have to extract to be able to read the text file.
