Hey guys,

I'm new here although i used to be on Seven Forums.

Anyways, i made my first build today and installed Windows 8.1 on it.

I have 8GB of ram and an Nvidia GTX970 4GB.

According to GeForce Experience app, 7.94GB of my 8GB of ram is usable. Any idea what could be taking up that 600MB? This is a gaming pc so i'd love to use all 8GB XD.

Thanks

open up Task Manager and go to the tab that shows the RAN & Disk use. You can also go to Resource Manager.

This all works the same in 8 as it did in XP, Vista and 7.

It seems like not getting the total ram or available space on a usb drive is normal.

I can format a usb drive & empty it & still not get the full amount space it should contain.
Here is a picture of my RAM.
I installed 8 GBs but-
