Hi all.

I have the following.

Asus P9X79 MB (Manual here http:// )

it has two SATA 3 ports, I have my C (system) SSD in one and my D (program) SSD in the other

It has 4 SATA 2 ports, I have another older SSD in one (couple of mmos on it), my DVD drive in the other, and the other two taken by a SATA expansion bracket (rarely used, but handy when needed)

I have my E drive, a 2TB SATA 3 disk containing my music software and my documents etc
I have my F drive, a 2TB SATA 3 disk containing my videos and numerous other misc stuff.

Both of these are plugged into:

Highpoint Rocket 620 (R620) 2 channel Internal PCI-e v2 x1 to SATA 6Gb/s non-RAID controller card (Marvel 88Se91xx Adapter)

A few weeks ago I used my cases front USB to copy my music from my F drive, and my F drive had disappeared

Usually when I boot the PC, the first thing I get is the Highpoint Bios telling me it's found my two HDDs, but after this, it was only showing one.

To get my F drive back, I have to shut down and pull the power

This happened a few times, sometimes it happened was soon as I use the front case USB, sometimes it would happen an hour or so later (always F drive, never E)

I upgraded my USB 3 drivers from Asus a few days ago and updating these (without plugging anything in) , also caused my F drive to instantly disappear..

So I had a play around.

The cases USB port was plugged into the MB USB 7/8 (USB 2) and I moved this to MB USB 13/14 (also USB 2)

The Highpoint card was plugged into the PCIEXE16_3 port and I moved this to the PCIEX1_2 port

Have just copied some photos from my tablet and I got the sound like a USB device has been unplugged, and yet again my F drive has disappeared.

This is beginning to get tiresome :)

Any suggestions please?

Have tried the latest two released and the latest beta MB BIOS, same thing happens.
