I have a bran new toshiba satelle
C50 came with windows 8.1 on it.
The laptop before this one I used a cordless mouse via usb connection.
But it would jump pages like one minute I'm on Twitter then next I'm on Royal Mail track and trace and this would happen for about 12 months. So I put the mouse into the new toshiba laptop and it dose the same!!
Carnt seem to win. But if I take mouse out and use the touch pad it works fine. What would cause this to happen? Is the mouse to power full?
I have a few different cordless mouses.

Try a different mouse, sounds like that one is defective.

your a star, it must of been the mouse as i have not had no more issues with this other mouse i use,
must been a fault on the first mouse, so your very right the mouse was the problem...

Probably a sticking button. I've worn a few out and one click would get you a double or triple click.
