(Note this is a different issue to the previous poster)
Windows BT stack has always been flakey, but this problem has me stumped.
I've been using a number of HC-05 serial bluetooth adapters, and I need to delete their pairing info and virtual serial port association.
If I go 'Device and Printers', right click, Remove Device, Confirm. Nothing happens, no error, no change in the Status of the device.
If I go to Device Manager-> BlueTooth and remove the device there, it deletes, but on refresh, it reappears.
If I look at properties->Events for the device I see <time spamp> Device Deleted then several seconds later <time stamp> Device Installed (bth.inf). with Information
saying Driver Management concluded the process to install driver bth.inf_amd64_7ac329009c88b2a2\bth.inf for Device Instance ID BTHENUM\DEV_201408201112\7&364C998&0&BLUETOOTHDEVICE_201408201112 with the following status: 0x0.
The same thing happens if I attempt to delete the actual Port (Standard Serial Over Bluetooth link(COMx) in this case the Information is
Driver Management concluded the process to install driver bthspp.inf_amd64_d2676314a8c299d9\bthspp.inf for Device Instance ID BTHENUM\{00001101-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB}_LOCALMFG&0000\7&1A018E8E&0&000000000000_00000005 with the following status: 0x0.
Does anyone know what is causing windows to automatically reinstall the devices?
