Hello,

I just changed my hard drive to a SSD and I did a clone yesterday but only changed today and now I forgot an important file that I got this morning so I connected my old hard drive using my USB to SATA adaptor to my laptop and got these errors:

Initialize Disk.jpgVirtual Disk Manager.jpg

The drive doesn't initialize and so I can copy that file, is there a way to fix this? Taking my notebook apart again is kind of awkward and it's hard since it is a toshiba, they build these things making it very hard for the user to replace any parts.

Thank you

    Windows 8.1
Type create and format hard disk partitions in search and click. Initialize it there, full volume, then go through the other steps.

EDIT: Are you saying you're trying to initialize an already initialized partition that you cloned? If so it is not going to let you, you'll have to wipe it first.
