I just recently Purchased a new Blu Ray player for my PC to get rid of the old DVD player I had in there, any way, I found out, that I cannot play Blu Ray movies, just DVD s? I would love some help on how to fix this problem, as it is bugging the life out of me, and I have tried the VLC trick, with no success and i have all the codecs installed, I even tried the Pot Player, but no go either, Please a fellow confused Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit User, I don't really feel like Reverting back to Windows 7 Ultimate if people are going to suggest that. I even purchased the full Media Player Center to try and fix things, no go either :(

My Blu Ray Drive : Pioneer BD - Rom BDC - 207D ATA Device

Edit: I also tried Pioneer support, but never heard back from them :(

What exactly happens when you try to read Blu-ray disc from that drive?

Step 1: Try running the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.
Step 2: Check for yellow or bangs for that device on device manager and post back the same. This will help us in assisting you better.

Have you tried downloading the drivers for it from pioneer for that model?

I cannot really find any drivers for that model, and I have checked, there is no problem with it there, the trouble is, is trying to actually read the blu ray disc :(

What kind of monitor do you have? In order to play Blu Ray discs, you CAN NOT use an analog cable to your monitor, it has to be a digital cable like a HDMI cable or a DVI-D cable.

And which media player are you using? I use Cyberlink and I play Blu Ray's just fine. I could not play Blu Ray discs with VLC or any of the other free progams, so I was forced to buy Cyberlink.
