I'm using a Core i5 3570K CPU and Gigabyte motherboard with an Intel 7 Series Chipset & Intel LAN chipset running Windows 8.1 Pro x64. I have a SSD system disk, two SATA hard drives and an eternal USB drive. I don't use RAID.
My PC is running normally but I want to disable unneeded services. The following Intel services are running:
Intel Rapid Storage Technology
Intel Integrated Clock Controller
Intel ICCS Intel Capability Licensing Service Interface
Intel Capability Licensing Service TCP IP Interface
Intel PROSet Monitoring Service
Intel Dynamic Application Loader Host Interface Service
Intel Management & Security Application Local Management Service
What do all these Intel services do, are all of these services really necessary and can I safely disable some of them? Please advise where I can find documentation which explains in outline what they all do.
