keyboard button: window resize snap

All in all, my Winbook is a great deal for the money. I just have a little problem.

There is at the top of my touch-screen on-screen keyboard a button that when pressed- always accidentally in my case, makes all the windows to move / resize to the top half of the screen.

I can see how some might like this feature. But for me, the window resize feature is always accidentally activated.

Is there a way to disable this button? It wouldn't be a big deal, except that ALL the windows are resized.... and continue to be resized for a while.... when new windows of the apps are created. It is a bit annoying to me.

Using Win 8.1.

I'm realizing now that this 'resize snap' thing is worse than thought of originally.

I'm seeing once in a while all of my desktop icons bunched up into the top half of the desktop. Don't know for sure, but suspecting that they are being moved by the same process....

Omg I have the same problem too! It's super annoying and if you disable the snap feature, you'll end up constantly moving the windows to see what you're typing.

yes. with a smallish tablet, it seems to be more of a problem. as the on-screen keyboard buttons are proportionally smaller. i posted this originally when using a 8" screen tablet.

the temporary workaround, for me, is to switch to a bigger tablet. On a 10.9" at present, and finding the on-screen keyboard a lot easier to use.

i hope MS comes up with a better long-term solution though.

Of course the window resize is a problem... by pressing the button on the keyboard next to the 'X' at the top-right, ALL the windows are resized. Overkill much?

Possibly a solution is to use a keyboard key remap program- to disable the key.

Does anyone know if Sharpkeys or Keytweak have the functionality to work with on-screen keyboards? http://www.eightforums.com/software-apps/67544-sharpkeys-keytweak-screen-tablet-keyboard.html

Nobody but one other person has the same problem with the on-screen keyboard? I find that a bit peculiar... Or I'm peculiar? Which one is it?

It seems like things have changed in this forum, and a general malaise set in. Not many are getting their questions answered, including me.
