RAID 0 | verify if active (working?)

RAID 1 | verify if active (working?)

My config is HDD1 backed up to HDD2 (both 500gb).

I don't want to have to use software that I don't need. I'm referring to Intel's Rapid Storage Technology (RST). This is because it wouldn't be compatible if I wasn't using a Windows OS.

How would I then verify my RAID 1 configuration is working? Keeping in mind that RAID setup is done via BIOS.

You could take a look at Disk Management to see if there is only one drive instead of two. You can open it by right clicking the start button, and then clicking Disk Management.

yes, there is only one drive of the intended RAID 1 configuration. In other words how would I know if this 'one' drive is being backed up by the other?
