Windows 10 causing false hardware failures.

I recently installed Windows 10 on my HP Elitebook 2740p. The installation went fine and the Os worked great. I come to a problem only when I restart the computer. Once it shuts down and begins to turn back on the Caps lock and Num lock keys on my laptop blink 5 times. According to HP support forums this signals a General Board Failure. When I shut down normally the laptop boots fine and after blinking 5 times the computer hangs for a second then boots up fine. I'm trying this on my laptop right now without any issues but I don't know how to tell if this is a false alarm caused by Windows 10 or if something in my laptop is actually failing.

There is a Windows 10 sister site to this one by the way. Windows 10 Forums I would try turning off sleep and hibernation and see if that helps.

Since Windows 10 is still an Alpha in Beta testing, you will run into issues. I would not be surprised that some computers will have issues with 10 as they have with 8.
