Printer cord what type?

If you want to connect it directly to your PC, rather than wireless, its just a standard USB2.0 cable.

Download the software from Epson, install the software first and only connect the unit when the install program tells you.,

Here is the drivers on the Epson web site. They are for multiple OS including Windows 8.

What I see about that board is that is has 4 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 2.0 ports. The USB 3.0 ports have the blue piece in them.

I set up an HP a few weeks ago and things were good for a couple of days then lady called me back for a print problem. Seems I'd inadvertently put the USB cable in a USB 3.0 and the printer would lose communication about a fourth of a page print, changed to a USB 2.0 port and all was good again [just points out the need for a flashlight when working under a desk]. The mouse and keyboard usually use the 2.0 ports so if the printer has a problem I'd plug it into a 2.0 port and try the mouse on a 3.0 port or get a USB 2.0 Hub for the mouse and keyboard.
